Profile – Tom Gadsby, Principal
Tom brings many years of experience to the task of creating gardens that delight their owners. He achieved a Diploma with Distinction from the Inchbald School of Garden Design and is an associate member of the Society of Garden Designers. Formerly an officer in the Gurkhas and then an equity analyst in the City, he started designing in his own garden which has now been opened annually as part of the National Garden Scheme’s Yellow Book for 14 years. He has worked on garden designs in London and the South East but is happy to travel further afield, and recently advised a client on creating an 11-acre garden in Illinois, USA. Tom brings a love of plants and a deep understanding of the principles of gardening ensuring that all gardens he designs stand the test of time while making practicality attractive. He focuses on form and structure softened with naturalistic planting with the ultimate aim of creating a garden that complements the house and sits comfortably within the surrounding countryside.
